Soludo, Emma Nwachukwu Receive Endorsements From Anambra South Stakeholders

As the November 8 Anambra governorship election and August 16, 2025 Anambra South senatorial by-election draw closer, the Anambra South political stakeholders have unanimously endorsed the governor of the state, Prof. Charles Soludo, and the candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), for Anambra South senatorial by-election, Chief Emma Nwachukwu (Onodugo) for their support.
In a communique read on Saturday, August 2, during a rally at the Ekwulobia Township Stadium, Aguata local government area by Hon. Paschal Agbodike, member of the House of Representatives, on behalf of Anambra South political stakeholders, the group pledged their support for the candidatures of Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, and Chief Emma Nwachukwu; adding that the tasks ahead, however big, will be surmounted, and that Anambra South will deliver the duo of Charles Soludo and Emma Nwachukwu in their respective elections.
Emma Nwachukwu’s former opponents, Akai Egwuonwu, Paschal Agbodike, Ebuka Onunkwo and others who spoke with our correspondent at the event, expressed their readiness to work for the emergence of Governor Soludo and Emma Nwachukwu to enable them win their respective elections for the party.
Speaking to newsmen during the rally, which doubled as campaign flagoff for the Anambra South senatorial by-election, APGA candidate for the election, Chief Emma Nwachukwu, thanked the people of Anambra South for the solidarity and support shown to him and Mr. Governor by organizing the rally.
He specifically thanked the governor for being a pillar of support for him, for the party and for Anambra in general, and promised that he would not betray the confidence placed in him by the party.
Earlier in his speech during the rally, Governor Soludo described Emma Nwachukwu as a true reflection of what Anambra and Igbo people need at the national assembly.
He described Nwachukwu as a true party man, who had been loyal to the party over the years, and who is capable of promoting the ideals of the party at the national level.
“Emma Nwachukwu will win the coming senatorial by-election,” Soludo enthused. “He has everything it takes to win, and our dear party, APGA, is supporting him strongly. Whatever it will take for him to emerge victorious, our party is doing it.”
The governor thanked Anambra South stakeholders of the party, who organized the rally, and urged them to replicate the support come August 16, and November 8, when senatorial by-election and governorahip election respectively will take place.
Highpoint of the event was when Anambra South political stakeholders gave a cheque of one hundred million naira to the governor to support his campaign.
