The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has donated relief materials to the Kwara state government for onward delivery to Internally Displaced Persons in the state.
The agency also donated some empowerment materials to boost Small and Medium Scale Enterprises.
The Deputy coordinator, Abuja zonal office of NIMASA, Hajia Moji Jimoh handed over the materials to the Secretary to the Kwara state government, Professor Shaba Jubrin.
Hajia Jimoh disclosed that the materials were donated as part of the corporate social responsibility of the agency.
Some of the donated materials include foodstuffs, cloths and toiletries.
Others include sowing machines, grinding machines, motorcyles, tricycles, welding machines and vulcanizing machines.
Receiving the materials, the Secretary the Kwara state government, Professor Shaba Jubrin promised the materials will get to the target beneficiaries.
