Nnewi North ready for Soludo’s re-election – Says Mayor, Anazodo

Ashiwaju
The Mayor of Nnewi North local government area of Anambra State, Hon. Echezona Anazodo, has said that his council area is ready for the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, come November 8, 2025 governorahip election in the state.
The council boss gave the indication on Saturday, August 2, during a political rally organized by Anambra South senatorial zone at the Ekwulobia Township Stadium, Aguata local government area of the state, to endorse Governor Soludo’s second term aspiration.
Anazodo said that the governor’s signature projects are on ground in Nnewi North, and that Mr. Governor does not need much campaign in the area.
“We’re prepared in Nnewi North to support Governor Soludo’s re-election and secure victory for him, because, as far as Nnewi North is concerned, there is no opposition to the governor’s second tenure bid.
“We have already made the statement, and we’re going to repeat the statement come August 16th, when we shall join forces to elect the APGA candidate, Emma Nwachukwu, to represent us at the Senate. This bold statement of August 16 will further reinforce our readiness for the November 8 governorship election in the state, when our hard-working governor will be returned to continue his good works.
“Come November 8, 2025, Governor Soludo’s giant strides in the provision of infrastructure and democracy dividends in Nnewi North alone will speak for him and for APGA. His signature projects in Nnewi North include roads like Igwe Orizu, Nkwo to Nkwo, Okpunoeze, Bank road, as well as dualization of Nnewi-Ozubulu-Okija road projects, among others,” he said.
He flayed the All Progressive Congress (APC) for reportedly saying that Nnewi North is the headquarters of the party in Anambra.
According to him, “The APC is not in the governorahip race, and they are aware they’re not in the race, because, there is no vacancy at the Anambra State Government House.”
Earlier in a communique read by Hon. Paschal Agbodike, member of the House of Representatives, on behalf of Anambra South political stakeholders, the group pledged their support for Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo for governor, and Chief Emma Nwachukwu for Senate; adding that the tasks ahead, however big, will be surmounted, and that Anambra South will deliver the two in their respective elections.
In his speech during the rally, which doubled as campaign flagoff for the Anambra South senatorial by-election, Governor Soludo thanked Anambra South political stakeholders, who organized the rally, and urged them to replicate the support come August 16, and November 8, when senatorial by-election and governorahip election respectively will take place.
Highpoint of the event was official handover of cheque of one hundred million naira by Anambra South political stakeholders to the governor to support his campaign.
