De Gamechanger FC defeats St Nwadinso, to face NNL side, Solution FC in Neros/ Anambra FA Cup Quarter-Final

De Gamechanger FC, Awka on Friday, defeated St Nwadinso Football Academy in the opening match of the 2025 Neros Pharmaceuticals/ Anambra State Football Association, FA Cup tournament.

De Gamechanger FC defeated St Nwadinso 7-6 on penalties to face NNL side, Solution FC in the Quarter-finals of the tournament.
The match, which was played at the Awka Township Stadium, kickstarting the 2025 edition of the tournament, ended in a goalless draw, before proceeding to penalty shootouts.
The prestigious competition saw a total of 11 football clubs competing alongside defending champions and Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Solution FC and last year’s runners up, Edel FC.
A total of three venues will be used for the year’s matches namely the Awka City Stadium, Neros Stadium Nanka and Rojenny Stadium Oba.
De Gamechanger FC will now trade tackles with Solution FC on Tuesday, 11th February, 2025, at Rojenny Stadium, Oba in Idemili South Council Area.
Reacting to the victory, the President of De Game Changer Football Club, Comrade Obi Emeka Chukwudi expressed satisfaction with the level of organization at the tournament.
He called for more of such tournaments to provide exposure and experience for young grassroots football talents, insisting that more needs to be done to develop grassroots sports in Anambra State.
“It’s a pleasure participating at this level and competing with highly-rated teams. The exposure for our young players cannot be quantified.
“We are hopeful that we can spring an upset in this tournament because we have the talents to do so,” Obi enthused.
The captain of De Gamechanger FC, Kingsley Ngutor while expressing delight at the win, said they are fired up to do exploits in the tournament.
