The Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has appointed Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha as the acting Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, COOU.
Omenugha, a Professor of Mass Communication with the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, NAU, Awka, recently emerged as a Member of Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute Of Public Relations (NIPR). She served as a Commissioner for Basic Education, Anambra State for 8years under the last administration.
In a release signed this afternoon by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Christian Aburime and made available to the public, it stated that Omenugha as acting Vice-Chancellor would replaced Professor Greg C. Nwakoby following the expiration of Nwakoby’s tenure as the Vice-Chancellor of COOU.
In related development, the Governor also appointed Professor Louis Chukwuemeka ORAKWUE, as State Project Coordinator, Anambra State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).
