Kano state Government has ordered for the closure of all public and private schools in the state with immediate effect.
The government through the state commissioner for Education, Muhammad Kiru says urged parents whose children are in boarding schools to convey their wards back home.
Reasons for the closure is yet to be made known to the public by the government.
Recall that insurgents abduct school children at a boarding school in Katsina, a neighbouring state.
