People Behind The Whole Development Of Böko Haram Are The People In APC Government Now- Dr. Adetokunbo Pearse

In a recent interview shared by Arise News, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Adetokunbo Pearse, has made a strong allegation linking the persistence of insecurity in Nigeria to those currently in power.

Speaking during a wide-ranging discussion on governance, security, and political accountability, Dr. Pearse accused elements within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of being responsible for the continued existence of insurgency in the country. According to him, the failure to decisively end terrorism raises serious questions about the commitment of the present administration to national security.

Dr. Pearse alleged that those who laid the foundation for the Boko Haram crisis are now occupying influential positions in government, stating, “The people behind the whole development of Boko Haram are the people in APC government now.” He argued that this reality explains why insecurity has persisted despite repeated assurances from successive administrations.

The PDP chieftain further claimed that Nigerians have continued to suffer from terrorism, banditry, and mass killings because the political will to confront the true sponsors of violence is lacking. He noted that repeated attacks across different regions of the country have deepened public distrust in government and weakened confidence in state institutions.

While acknowledging that his claim remains an allegation, Pearse insisted that the government must be transparent and proactive in addressing security challenges, including identifying and prosecuting sponsors of terrorism. He stressed that without accountability, Nigeria’s fight against insecurity would remain ineffective.

Pearse concluded by urging Nigerians to demand responsible leadership and genuine reforms, warning that national unity and stability remain at risk if insecurity continues unchecked.
