Fubara Replies Wike, Oppressors, Asks His Supporters To Ignore The Noise And Thrëats of Wår In Rivers

Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has finally responded to the recent “political war” threats made by his predecessor and current Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike.

During a large New Year Thanksgiving service in Port Harcourt, Fubara characterized the opposition’s threats as “mere noise” intended to sidetrack his administration from providing democratic benefits.

While refraining from naming individuals, he criticized those who act as if they own the state, labeling them as “oppressors” whose influence has waned.

“Do not pay attention to the market noise,” Fubara urged his supporters. “They threaten war because they fear the peace we are creating. Ignore them. Our focus is solely on serving the people of Rivers, not on pointless conflicts.”

In response to allegations of betrayal and unmet commitments, Fubara asserted that his allegiance is to God and the people of Rivers State, not to any “godfather.”

“I will only worship the Living God, not man,” the Governor proclaimed, eliciting loud applause. “If prioritizing the needs of the less fortunate makes me a betrayer in their eyes, then I embrace that title.”

He reassured the public that 2026 would bring a year of “Liberation and Projects,” promising that no intimidation or federal authority would hinder his government from successfully completing its term.

Political analysts suggest that Fubara’s confident response indicates he is prepared for the confrontation Wike anticipates, but he plans to engage through “silence and projects” rather than words.
