Rise up and take back Enugu from PDP – Frank Nweke charges residents

Mr Frank Nweke, Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Enugu State, has charged residents to rise up and take back the state from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Nweke, a former Minister of Information, made the call during a consultative visit to the five autonomous communities in Ishi-Ozalla Town in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State on Thursday.

He urged the people, both home and in the Diaspora, to understand the issues at stake and to see their support for APGA as a pursuit of a better standard of living for themselves and for their children.

The APGA candidate explained that the theme of his campaign, “Arise, Let’s Rebuild Enugu,” was carefully selected as a call for everyone to play a part in taking back Enugu from the claws of the PDP.

According to him, PDP have delivered nothing but bad governance in the past seven years within the state.

“The 2023 election is a fight for the collective progress of ndị Enugu (Enugu State people).

“And I stand prepared in every kind of way to assist the people in bringing down a dysfunctional PDP structure that has held the state down,”’ Nweke, who had been on an intensive pre-campaign consultations for weeks, said.

Affirming their desire to change the system of governance in the state come 2023, Chief Chidozie Onovo, President-General of Okorouba Progressive Union in Ozalla, said that this would be the first real election in Enugu State.

Onovo noted that there had been no worthy opposition to PDP’s misrule until Frank Nweke emerged as the candidate of APGA.

He assured the APGA governorship-hopeful of their support for him and their commitment to work for the establishment of good governance in the state.

Nweke, whose message of rebuilding Enugu is beginning to gain wide acceptance, also commissioned the new APGA Ward office in Ozalla, while celebrating the local team for their commitment in seeing that APGA emerges victorious come 2023.
