Anambra NYCN Craves Support As Computer Sets Donated By Its Chairman, Surv Obi Is To Be Unveiled August 19

Unveiled August 19The Anambra State Chapter of the National Youths Council of Nigeria, NYCN will on Friday, the 19th of August, 2022, unveil the 20 sets of desktop computer donated to it by the State Chairman, Surveyor Emeka Obi.

Recall that the Anambra NYCN Chairman had earlier in June promised to donate the computers sets to the Council, to drive the training of Anambra youths at the various communities on Information Communication Technology, ICT.
The computer sets which have all been procured, will be unveiled on the 18th of this month at the Youths House in Awka.
Disclosing this in a briefing with newsmen in Awka, the Anambra NYCN Chairman, Surv Obi said the donation signposts his commitment to hitting the ground running immediately, to pursue the empowerment of Anambra youths.
Obi, who explained that the ICT initiative will focus on the youths at the grassroots, said his vision through the initiative is to ensure that no youth in Anambra, is denied ICT knowledge because they cannot afford it.
“It is my delight to inform you that we are ready to commence our ICT drive with the unveiling of the 20 sets of desktop computers which I donated to the Council.
“The computers and their components have been procured and we have also inaugurated the Directorate of ICT to champion this cause.
“I wish to state that the major target for this initiative will be Anambra youths especially at the communities who wish to acquire ICT knowledge but for one reason or the other, are unable to,” he said.
Obi however noted that the Council faces a major challenge with logistics to accomplish the ICT drive.
One of the greatest needs of the Council at present, he said, is a bus.
“We appeal to spirited individuals, groups, corporate agencies and philantropists and politicians to assist us and procure a bus for us.
“This will go a long way in assisting us move the ICT equipment and personnel to the training centres across the state.
“We also have our vehicle that needs serious maintenance and the Council will also appreciate any assistance that will enable us repair it for smooth operation,” Obi appealed.
