2023: YPP Has Better Programmes Than APGA, Others, Says Umeadi

Senatorial candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in Anambra Central Senatorial District, Dr. Chinedu Umeadi, has said that the party has better programmes for Anambra people, and the people of Nigeria than other political parties.

He said that support for the party, and its candidates in the 2023 general election will guarantee dividend of democracy for the people; adding that if elected to represent Anambra Central at the red chamber of the national assembly, he will offer uncommon representation that will beat records of past representatives.

Speaking after winning the senatorial ticket of the party during a primary decided at the Finotel Hotekl in Awka, on Sunday, he said that the party fields candidates with proven track records, who will turn the fortunes of the people around, if elected.

Umeadi also commended the party and its leadership for giving him the opportunity to fly the flag of the party in Anambra Central, and further assured that he will defeat his opponents, and bring glory to the party during the 2023 general election.

Dr. Umeadi secured the YPP senatorial ticket through voice affirmation of delegates from seven local government areas of Anaocha, Awka North, Awka South, Dunukofia, Njikoka, Idemili North and Idemili South.

The election was monitored by YPP National Secretary, Hon. Vidiyeno Bamaiyi, and INEC officials lead by Mr. Nwouga Anthony, Deputy Director, Anambra State Headquarters, Awka.

Also at the same venue, on Sunday, Mr. Ughamadu Kingsley secured the party’s House of Representative ticket for Awka North and Awka South Federal Constituency.

His emerged through voice vote of delegates from the two council areas.

The process was also supervised by the YPP National Secretary, Vidiyeno Bamaiyi, and INEC officials from the Anambra State Headquarters, Awka.
