In line with the Inspector General of Police Usman Alkali-Baba order, directing 36 states police commands to tighten security in the yuletide season, Enugu state police command has deployed special squads across the state to ensure a itch-free Festive period in the state.
The state police commissioner Abubakar Lawal gave the insight while speaking to newsmen in Enugu.
He speaks on the mapped out strategy to ensure the state is free from criminal activities.
The CP acknowledge there are crimes associated with festive season, which he said the command is on top of the situation to ensure the residents sleep with their two eyes closed.
While speaking on the multiplicity of police checkpoints in the state, he said the reason
could not be separated from the recent insecurity in the South East, which he claimed the command does not want to leave any stone unturned to ensure the security of the people are not compromised.
