COVID-19: 75% of Sokoto Active Cases Discharged

 

Sokoto state government has announced the discharged of additional five patients of COVID-19 from the state Isolation centre in Amanawa.

This was revealed in a statement on the twitter handle of the State ministry of health.

The state had earlier on Monday discharged four patients from the same facility, taking the total number of discharged persons in the state to seventy five patients representing 78% of the total active cases of Corona Virus in the state.

The state commissioner for health and Chairman Taskforce on COVID-19, Mohammed Ali Iname had over the weekend announced that the state has discharged a total of sixty six patients of COVID-19 representing 61% of the total active cases in the state.

He however, caution residents to continue to observe the social distancing, and ensure the use of facemask in public places and also wash their hands regularly under running water.

SOKOTO state had banned unnecessary social gathering and also make the use of facemask compulsory in all public places in the state as well as engages the services of volunteers to continue to sensitize residents on the need to live a healthy lifestyle as a measure against the spread of COVID-19.
