Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission confirmed the arrest of Kabiru Panshekara, Chairman of Kumbotso Local Government Council over abuse of COVID-19 palliatives materials.
Chairman of the commission, Muhuyi Rimingado who confirmed the arrest to TVC News says the Local Council Chairman is alleged to have contravened the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-corruption Commission Law 2008 (as amended) in the distribution of palliative materials in his Local Government.
Muhuyi Rimingado added that the Kumbotso Local Government Chairman was alleged to have distributed palliative materials to security personnel instead of the poorest of the poor as earlier promised by the Government.
