The traditional ruler of Ibagbani-Nike in Enugu East local council, Emmanuel Eze has commended the state government recent adjustment on movement restrictions which reduces Tricycle operations to 6pm, as measures to further secure their localities.
The traditional ruler who spoke on the backdrop to ascertain efforts put up by traditional institutions to compliment the state government sensitization advocacy, as measures to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
Igwe Emmanuel Eze praised the government palliative measures, according to him, has served as a relief for the people long stay at home.
He said the people would be better protected in an atmosphere where the traditional institution would be allowed to delegate personnel of communities to identified aliens in the period of the partial lockdown as experience in the state.
While speaking on the measures the traditional institutions too had deployed to complement the state government efforts to sustain the fight against the Covid 19 PANDEMIC, Igwe Emmanuel Eze said they have embarked on massive enlightenment and sensitization advocacy, backed it up with the charge to security their environment against foreign elements. The monarch who is also the chairman, Security Council for Enugu state traditional council, assured that the level of awareness as disseminated by them to the people would reduce community transmission of the deadly pandemic.
